Why You Should Drink Butter Coffee: Bulletproof Coffee Edition

A few years ago, I heard a bunch of celebrities talk about why they love the Bulletproof coffee so much and of course, I became so curious that I had to do further research. I came across the video, How to Make Bulletproof® Coffee, where the founder, Dave Asprey, shared why he wanted to create something that gave people the energy boost they needed in the morning.

You may be thinking, what the heck is the Bulletproof coffee? Well, the answer is quite simple: coffee, butter, and oil. Sounds kinda weird but I must say, I never thought I’d try a cup of butter coffee and say, mmm with every sip. It’s creamy, delicious, and frothy just like a latte that you can find at a coffee shop, only better.

Dave Asprey, Bulletproof founder was traveling in Nepal where he first took his first sip of yak-butter tea and he was intrigued by the energy boost it gave him. After sharing his powerful experience with others, it became a popular new beverage that is known to kick your normal cravings in the b-hind, give you some extra mental focus during the day and burn fat. It’s a big deal.

How to Make Butter Coffee

1 tbsp of grass-fed butter (I use Fourth & Heart Grass-Fed Vanilla Bean Ghee)

1 tsp of MCT oil (and/or coconut oil)

1 serving of a freshly brewed coffee (I use Bulletproof coffee grinds)

1 tsp of Chai Spiced Honey (optional)

Add a tiny bit of cinnamon (optional)

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend it up for a few seconds until smooth. You don’t have to add creamer or anything because the butter makes it creamy and smooth. Let me know in the comments if you adore butter coffee too.

Love always,

Disclaimer: I am not a nutritionist but I wanted to share a bit of what I've learned through some research. Although butter coffee works for many people (including myself) it doesn't mean that it will work for you. I recommend that you do further research before you try it out yourself.
