6 Amazing Benefits of Not Wearing Makeup ft. Anew Hydra Fusion Skincare Treatment

There’s nothing better than applying on that perfect shade of lipstick that makes you feel like royalty or that mascara that always makes your eyes stand out but sometimes it’s nice to see that bare face in the mirror. Not only does wearing no makeup have a positive effect on your skin but it can make you feel more confident about yourself. It’s always important to love that girl underneath all that glamour because, at the end of the day, that makeup is coming off and it’s important that you can admire what you see in your reflexion just as much as when you are wearing makeup…
It’s a great way to embrace your natural beauty. When you look into the mirror at your bare face, this is your moment to embrace your natural beauty. Often when you compare yourself to someone else’s beauty, you might think that there is something wrong with your own look but there’s nothing wrong with the way you look. You are beautiful and if you tell yourself that often, you’ll begin to see it.

You can keep your pores clean. I used to hear all the time that there are different skincare products that can shrink your pores but recently, I’ve heard from somewhere that you can’t really shrink them. We have two types of pores: Oil pores (also known as hair follicles) are the ones that we can see while sweat pores are not visible enough for us to see with our naked eye. Our goal shouldn’t be to shrink them but to keep them clean. Your pores might only seem large when they are clogged or sometimes will open after you've washed them with warm water. If you see your pores open after you've washed your face, know that this is normal.

Don’t get too obsessed with the sight of your pores because they are meant to be visible and it’s okay to have pores. They aren't supposed to be invisible.

You can admire your pores. I understand that foundation and concealer cover them “to make your skin appear as though it’s flawless” as I hear from many sources but why would we see our pores as flaws when it’s what makes us human. Love your pores.

You are giving your skin a chance to breathe. It’s nice to give your skin a chance to breathe, especially your pores. You don’t want your pores to be clogged up with all that makeup because makeup is pretty harsh when it comes to all the ingredients they put into it.

You’ll begin a healthier relationship with yourself. When you get used to seeing your natural beauty, you’ll begin to love it. Don’t get me wrong, if you want to wear makeup, wear it. It’s okay to adore the glamorous side of you too.

Now for some skincare products. I love keeping my skin extra hydrated when I’m not wearing any makeup such as creamy skincare products but recently I’ve tried something new called, Anew Hydra Fusion by Avon. My skin feels so relaxed during these #nomakeup days and I must share three products that made me feel amazing.

All you need to do is massage your skin with a cotton pad infused with this cleanser and it’ll remove dry skin and dirt leaving your skin feeling extra clean. Normally, I massage my skin with a warm and wet face towel before using this product because you don’t have to rinse it off. It does all the extra cleaning for you while leaving your skin feeling hydrated.

I’m loving how lightweight this product is but I normally use it when I’m not at work. Because I work at a restaurant, it’s never a great idea for me to wear a skincare cream because my natural oils are enough. At the end of my shift, my skin looks too oily but I can wear it on my off days. Can anyone relate to this?

It feels pretty good to have something hydrating on my face during these no makeup days but you can also mix it with different face cream to enhance to moisture (if you need it.)

After a long day, it’s always nice to wash your face and then apply a night cream. It has a soft rosy fragrance and it’s made with shea butter seeds to give your skin the ultimate midnight treatment. It’s also made with raspberry seeds which might protect your skin from getting damaged caused by free radicals.

Love always,
Princess Hiyah
