A Simple Look for a Cool Breeze - mark. Wintry Mix Cardigan By Avon

When there's a slight cool breeze in the air, the first thing that I do is pull out my mark. Wintry Mix Cardigan by Avon. I don’t wear it on hot days and I can’t wear it when it’s cold but it’s just right for this kind of weather. Because Spring has finally graced us, the weather is kinda warming up, so I can were this cute sweater for a little bit…
It’s very simple but it really can make your outfit look more stylish, especially since all I’m wearing is an ordinary black t-shirt and high-waist skinny jeans in this photo which by the way I miss. Do you have a pair of jeans that you wore so much that it’s worn out? I’m in the need for a replacement ASAP because these were my favorite jeans.
These boots are perfect for Autumn and Winter, which just ended but it made this outfit look even better because it matches. It still works since the weather hasn’t fully become hot yet. Right? Let me know what you love to wear during this not so cold nor hot kinda weather in the comments below and shop at my Avon boutique for a new mark. Fashion this season.

Love always,

Avon Beauty Boost Face Masks Pt. 1: Super Power Serum

From the moment I saw this NEW Avon Beauty Boost Face Masks ($20.00) I fell head over heels in love with it, mainly because it has six sample size face masks and one Power Boost Serum that all comes inside of the box. Each sample is meant to target pacific issues that you might have to deal with skincare wise. I’m interested in sharing my thoughts on each of these face masks with you in a seven-part series, so stay tuned for the future blog posts for each of the masks.
One amazing treat that comes in this box is the Super Power Serum which is designed to enhance the beautiful benefits that each face mask has to offer. I applied this serum easily with a cotton pad and then my skin was ready for a face mask. I completely adored the pleasant floral fragrance of this Super Power Serum and wouldn't mind buying a bigger size if I could, but until then, the sample size will do.
Have you tried the NEW Avon Beauty Boost Face Masks (Limited Edition) yet? If so (or when you do try it) share your thoughts about it in the comments below and let me know which one is your fave. Don’t forget to visit my blog again to read the part two review for the next face mask.

The History of Red Lipstick

The color red in general makes a powerful statement. It could mean passion, desire, love, energy, sex appeal, power, etc., but in history, the color red wasn't always viewed as a positive and it definitely wasn't acceptable for women to wear red lipstick…

“Give a woman the right lipstick and she can conquer the world.” ― Unknown

Wearing red lipstick dates back to ancient history, whereas, Cleopatra, the last ruler of Egypt, used to crush bugs, such as Beatles, to create a color for her lips, yet Mesopotamia women loved to crush their valuable gems to create their red lipstick.

Even on the bust of the beautiful Queen Nefertiti, the wife of the Egyptian pharaoh, Akhenaten, was adorned with red lipstick…

Women have been expressing themselves with makeup for many years, especially when they wore red lipstick, but somewhere down the line, people have given red lipstick a negative meaning, likewise in the Greek empire, only prostitutes were allowed to wear lipstick by law.

In like manner, during the 1700s, women who wore any makeup, especially red lipstick, was accused of witchcraft and many believed they were satan worshipers. It has also been rumored that in England, a man can get his marriage annulled if his wife was caught wearing lipstick before their wedding because makeup was considered only to be worn by a lower class as well as prostitutes.

On the other hand, in France, women of an upper class wore makeup and had an untasteful point of view of women who didn’t wear any cosmetics, which was odd, because rather or not you decide to wear makeup, including red lipstick, is a personal decision and it doesn't mean that you are a good person, nor does it mean that you are a bad person. Wearing makeup is just a creative way to express yourself.

In the 1800s, the Professional French Actress, Sarah Bernhardt, applied red lipstick in public, which was considered as a taboo, because many believed you should only apply makeup in the private. She was quite daring. Wouldn’t you agree?

The reason I am sharing all the history about red lipstick is because I wanted to write a post about how empowering it is to wear it, but I ran into a lot of information that surprised me. Even though some people may still hold a negative point of view about it, red lipstick has come a very long way. It’s a way we express ourselves as women and we have all the right to do so…

How does red lipstick make you feel? For me, I feel powerful and it always gives me a boost of confidence. Wearing red lipstick makes me feel like, no matter the obstacle, I can conquer anything. There are so many reasons why I adore wearing red lipstick because it can empower women in so many beautiful ways.

If you want to share some interesting historical facts about red lipstick (or makeup) that I might have left out, let me know in the comments below…

Review: Avon Flourish Honey Blossom Eau de Parfum

When Winter comes, all of nature falls into a deep slumber until Spring reaches the Earth again. It’s a beautiful thing to see as the rain showers all the plants so everything can wake up again. All the trees become green again and all the flowers can bloom as they grace us with their beauty. One of my favorite things about Spring is the fact that all the flowers smell so lovely and Avon Flourish Honey Blossom Eau de Parfum ($28.00) captures the amazing essence of this season.
The floral printed perfume bottle looks so beautiful as decor in my bedroom but it’s also perfect to wear as a signature scent for Spring. It has the ingredients of vanilla orchid, honeysuckle nectar and of course apple blossom for that sweet and fresh smelling aroma that makes you feel as though Spring has arrived. Have you tried Avon Flourish Honey Blossom Eau de Parfum yet? Shop at my Avon boutique here and embrace your Spring shopping.

“A long as I can remember, the smell of spring has always brought me the feeling of joy, anticipation and the sense of new beginnings. To express these feelings, I created a fragrance that gives the sensation of the first rays of sun in early spring touching your skin. I wanted this single scent to capture the essence of pure happiness and comfort.” – Gabriela Chelariu, World-Renowned Perfumer, Firmenich

Your Spring Essentials: The A Box

Whenever I’m shopping at my Avon boutique here, I always love to give myself an extra treat by buying The A Box because it’s only $10.00 with any $40.00 order. You will normally receive makeup, skincare, and fragrance but sometimes you might receive jewelry. Each product is worth more than what you’ve purchased which makes it a great deal. If you want to get you The A Box, shop at my Avon boutique here and have fun…

I’m pretty simple when it comes to wearing eyeliners because I like the classic black winged eyes but whenever I want to try something new, I love wearing a dark blue color. I’ve never considered a plum color but when I tried Avon True Color Glimmersticks Diamonds Eye Liner ($7.00) in Sugar Plum, I fell head over heels for it.

I’m obsessed with Avon’s lipsticks, especially this one because it has nourishing ingredients such as, jojoba oil that will keep your lips hydrated all day long. I wasn’t sure about this color at first for my skin tone but it actually looked pretty great on me. I am also loving that it gives my lips full coverage and has a satin finish. Which color should I try next?

I’m amazed that this fragrance had captured the entire essence of Spring and it always puts me in the best mood ever. I have the bigger size of this fragrance but it’s always nice to have a travel size just in case. Click here for the full review on this perfume.

You can buy a product from Avon’s ANEW collection that fits your needs because it’s almost for everyone. I normally purchase anything that can help with keeping my skin hydrated because the more hydrated your skin is, the more youthful you will look.

If you need a product that can smooth out your wrinkles and repair damaged skin then you might want to try this product by clicking the link here. It wouldn’t do me any justice to try this one myself because I’m still pretty young but if you try it and love it, give a review on my Avon boutique website here.

Love always,
Princess Hiyah
