Autumn Wishes: 7 Things I'd Love to Do for Autumn

There are so many reasons why I always fall into a beautiful daydream about Autumn. It’s the most beautiful time of the year, in my opinion, because the fall leaves always shimmers onto the ground leaving the Earth decorated. It’s always fun to crunch through the leaves as I walk through them and it brings back so many memories of my childhood.

I love it when the trees turn colors while creating a beautiful aesthetic for the world. It’s always wonderful to see pumpkins all over the place and Autumn themed decor. Plus, it’s the season that I was magically born into this world, so Happy Birthday season to me!!

There are so many possible experiences that I would love to accomplish someday, maybe even this year, I would but at least they are apart of my bucket list. Right?
Watch a Disney classic film. It’s been a while since I’ve turned on the tv which is so big for me because I used to binge-watch Netflix all day, every day but maybe I should watch Twitches. It’s one of my favorite classic Disney Holloween films and I that I do really miss it. “Go Twitches, Go Twitches!!”

Create some homemade candy apples. I’ve always loved getting candy apples when I was younger and sharing it with my mom but I’ve never made my own before. It should be a fun project. When I do create my own candy apple, I promise to blog all about it.

Pumpkin Spice Latte. I’ve always had a pumpkin spice latte every year without fail and I’m not planning on missing out at all this year. I must have a special cup of pumpkin goodness.

Carve some pumpkins. Never did this myself but I wouldn’t mind creating a heart on mine or I would at least attempt it cuz I am no Da Vinci.

Go shopping. Who doesn’t love to shop for Autumn wear? I could use some new booties and a cozy sweater and because I’m living in Georgia, I could probably wear it out in public during the Wintertime, if it’s not too warm. In Wisconsin, my Autumn fashion was hidden under a big coat because I wanted to stay warm and the weather can become pretty icy over there.

Pumpkin Spice Body Care. Do you guys know any body care products that are so creamy that it’ll melt into my skin? I would love a product that has autumn vibes asap.

Homemade pumpkin beauty products. Why not? Ima create a little experiment and add some pumpkins into a homemade hair mask, face mask, etc. Autumn is the month to do it. When I do, I promise to create a DIY blog post for it.

What else should I do for fall? Any suggestions?

Review: Avon Anew Vitale Skincare

I’ve been adoring the amazing results Avon Anew Vitale skincare products have given me and I have been treating my skin with these two products daily. They have harmoniously been a part of my daily skincare routine, but I’m going to need a refill because they are running out…

Because I am African-American, I don’t need sunscreen and I don’t mind getting kissed by the sun, but I really wanted to try this day cream. It has a nice fragrance that reminds me of springtime and I always look forward to applying a thin layer on my skin every morning to keep my skin hydrated.

This is my favorite part of my skincare routine. The aroma is the same fragrance as the day cream, but much more vibrant and it has a creamy texture that leaves my skin feeling moisturized, soft and smooth because it’s made to make your skin appear as if you had at least 8 hours of sleep. I always wake up with my skin looking rejuvenated and feeling baby soft.

7 Ways to Soothe Lower Back Pains

When I was working every day at 4 am in the morning, I began having strong lower back pains. I am definitely too young for back pains which mean I was at the wrong job and/or working the worst hours. Too early.

I’m no doctor, so my tips and tricks might not work for you but they have worked for me to soothe my lower back pains. You can try them and let me know if you liked them or you can share your natural remedies in the comments below.

Sleep better. I heard somewhere that lack of sleep can cause back pains. You can easily soothe yourself with some warm tea at night to relax you until you fall into a deep slumber.
Get a back massage. I’ve never been to a spa but if you can, go ahead and get a back massage. I normally massage my back myself but that’s the cheaper way. (heh heh)
Good posture. Don’t make slouching a habit because your back will suffer from it.
Take a hot bath. Always a better option for me.
Stretch. Stretching my legs, back and arms always make me feel better by soothing my mood and relaxing my body.
Meditation can cause you to have a better posture because you have to sit upright and cross your legs for a few minutes. A daily meditation practice can cause you to have the best posture because it’ll become a habit.
Lay down on your back. Kind of like meditation but you are laying down. This will cause you to stop moving as much and to relax for a moment. It’s very soothing.

Review: Anew Calming Clay Mask

Everyone should have a moment of relaxation in their everyday life because our bodies can get tense from being stressed out when we have to get stuff done from our to-do list. Because my pores need some extra attention, I thought this clay mask would be perfect for me. It’s made with kaolin clay, which will cleanse your skin from any impurities. This mask can simply remove any excess dirt which leaves my skin feeling so soft, clean and moisturized. And it’s also made to remove any unwanted oils from your skin which is perfect for me since my somewhat oily skin.

The Aloe Vera plant is actually a magical beauty treatment. I used to add some Aloe Vera gel onto a cotton ball and massage the product onto my face which removes dead skin, cleanse my pores while leaving my skin feeling refreshed. Plus the Aloe Vera plant has healing properties, so when I heard this face mask was made with it, I couldn't resist myself from buying it.
I’m overall in love with Anew Calming Clay Mask because it has done nothing but deliver what it has promised me. It’s definitely something that I would repurchase because it has such a refreshing aroma that calms me after a nice long day and it rejuvenates my skin. How to Practice Gratitude

Gratitude―for some reason this word can be quite alien to many people because they might think, Well, what in the world do I have to be grateful for? I live in a crappy apartment, I don’t have money to buy some new clothes and blah, blah, blah… Stop right there because there is always something to be grateful for.

For instance, you may live in an apartment that you are not happy with and believe me I’ve been there too but you have two choices. You can either pout about how you’re not happy with your current home or you can be grateful that you have a rough over your head because that’s a major blessing.

It’s okay to want more and to plan on getting something better because you can achieve a better life but it doesn't mean you can’t be grateful for what you have right now. Count your blessings and be very grateful now.

Now let’s practice…

Grab a pen and paper to write down everything you are truly grateful for and why. When you share why you are grateful for it, it makes it more honest and you’ll understand your real reason for it.

People who are grateful live very happy lives because they count their blessings every single day and they know more amazing things will come their way. Here is a list of examples of how to practice gratitude. Enjoy.

I am so grateful to be alive because there is so much in life to experience.
I am so grateful to be in good health because I can live a nice long life.
I am so grateful to have a home because it’s nice to be able to go in a safe shelter.
I am so grateful for my mother because she has always been there for me.

I am so grateful to live on Earth because there are so many beautiful things on this planet.
I am so grateful to be able to eat every day because food is fuel for humans, just like gas is for cars.
I am so grateful for drinking water every day because water keeps me hydrated which means I can live longer and healthier.
I am so grateful for…

...and there you go. It’s simple and quite easy because you honestly can find anything to be grateful for. Be grateful for your heart, brain, food, animals, the zoo, friends, family, etc. You can be grateful for anything by simply looking for the beauty in the world. Now answer this question, what are you grateful for and why?
