How to Practice Gratitude

Gratitude―for some reason this word can be quite alien to many people because they might think, Well, what in the world do I have to be grateful for? I live in a crappy apartment, I don’t have money to buy some new clothes and blah, blah, blah… Stop right there because there is always something to be grateful for.

For instance, you may live in an apartment that you are not happy with and believe me I’ve been there too but you have two choices. You can either pout about how you’re not happy with your current home or you can be grateful that you have a rough over your head because that’s a major blessing.

It’s okay to want more and to plan on getting something better because you can achieve a better life but it doesn't mean you can’t be grateful for what you have right now. Count your blessings and be very grateful now.

Now let’s practice…

Grab a pen and paper to write down everything you are truly grateful for and why. When you share why you are grateful for it, it makes it more honest and you’ll understand your real reason for it.

People who are grateful live very happy lives because they count their blessings every single day and they know more amazing things will come their way. Here is a list of examples of how to practice gratitude. Enjoy.

I am so grateful to be alive because there is so much in life to experience.
I am so grateful to be in good health because I can live a nice long life.
I am so grateful to have a home because it’s nice to be able to go in a safe shelter.
I am so grateful for my mother because she has always been there for me.
I am so grateful for my eyesight because there is so much in life to see.
I am so grateful to live on Earth because there are so many beautiful things on this planet.
I am so grateful to be able to eat every day because food is fuel for humans, just like gas is for cars.
I am so grateful for drinking water every day because water keeps me hydrated which means I can live longer and healthier.
I am so grateful for…

...and there you go. It’s simple and quite easy because you honestly can find anything to be grateful for. Be grateful for your heart, brain, food, animals, the zoo, friends, family, etc. You can be grateful for anything by simply looking for the beauty in the world. Now answer this question, what are you grateful for and why?

How to Share Memories on Instagram | Entrepreneur

It’s amazing to see all the amazing pictures on Instagram of people sharing their favorite moments in life, such as going to the park, sharing that they just had a latte at Starbucks, sharing how much fun they are having with friends, etc. It’s always nice when they post a favorite quote which can relate to how they are feeling: empowered, inspired or beautiful. Instagram can be used for personal and/or business.

I’m no expert when it comes to Instagram but I do use it for business. If you are just starting off with your Avon boutique, I would suggest that you create a business account ASAP. Instagram can be used as a blog to share all your favorite beauty products, fashion, and Espira products that you’ve tried from Avon and it’ll attract potential customers that might sign up for emails. It’s a great way to earn some extra money for those new pair of shoes you’ve been wanting.

Make a professional profile and skip out on posting something that’s inappropriate that might make others feel uncomfortable. Instagram is a great way to show that you are your own boss and people love confidence. Although you can easily share all your favorite products from your boutique, don’t be a robot. Show them that you are also human by sharing your favorite quote or that you went out to eat at your favorite restaurant. It’s a great way for people to get to know you and they can relate to you in some way.

You can also study how successful YouTubers and bloggers use Instagram to have a few examples of how you might want to promote your business. Don’t feel discouraged if you see how advanced they are because everyone has to start from somewhere. Just start posting pictures, be authentic and you’ll grow over time.

I will suggest that you shouldn’t take photography from your Avon boutique to share on Instagram because it’s far more authentic for you to buy the product, take a picture of it (with your phone or other) and share it on Instagram because this shows that you actually use the products yourself and you’re not just trying to make money from it. You will receive customers who will trust that you actually adore the products.

How to Be Successful in 3 Words: Don't Give Up.

Photo by Jen P. on Unsplash
“Winners never quit and quitters never win.”
Vince Lombardi

There is an illustration meme of a man walking away after giving up on digging for riches but little did he know, he was only inches away from receiving diamonds. How many people out there actually quite on network marketing before they even see progress? If only they knew how close they were to success.

Some people sign up for an online business and placed their boutique’s link all over their social media accounts and just assume that they will receive customers within seconds. When they notice no one signed up for their email list and they haven’t seen any money coming into their bank accounts, they just give up.

Don’t give up. Those are the 3 keywords to success. If you could think of anyone in the world who is successful, it’s because they haven’t given up and they now can see money 24/7. That’s the goal, right?

You want to earn money online and have an opportunity to relax in the comfort of your home. You want to feel financially independent and you want to save some of your earnings for something special (like a dream vacation, a birthday celebration, etc.) Of course, I’m just sharing what I assume you would love to experience.

When you don’t give up, you will see the progress which is the Universe’s way of telling you that great things are coming to your direction. Be patient for its arrival and keep on digging.

A Letter to My Auntie Cora: A Beautiful Spirit

Source: Photo by Pixabay
“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.” —Winnie the Pooh

When we pass away, I believe there is a place that we travel back to where there are others who have been waiting for us to return safe and sound. They’ve been waiting to hear about what we’ve experienced while we lived as humans on Earth and it feels as if we just came from watching a movie full of laughter, tears, and emotions that we can’t really explain in words but there is so much wisdom within each story.

I believe when we leave this plane of existence, we return back to our home with so much to share about our lives on Earth. I’m not necessarily sure what this place is that we return to but I know that it’s home. Some might even call it heaven but I think it’s far better than what we can imagine.

Recently, my Auntie Cora went back home to our spiritual family who has been waiting to hear all about her experience on Earth and I’m sure she has much to share. Of course, it was hard for her family on Earth, like me, to say goodbye but the thing about goodbyes is they don’t last forever. We are from the same spirit family and I’ll see her again but until then I'll miss her oh so dearly.

Crying is something that I don't like to do and I try to hold back and hide my tears most of the time but it’s not easy when it comes to her. There are so many loving memories of her that are forever in my heart, such as, her hugs, her voice, and elephants which she loved. Her home was full of elephants everywhere and I always admired how much she adored them. She comes to mind every single time I saw one, that’s why I had to pick an elephant photo for this post.

The spiritual meaning of the elephant is luck, power, dignity, happiness, and royalty which are all the beautiful qualities that my Auntie Cora has and if she didn’t know how special she truly was, I hope she does now.

One thing I am grateful for was the fact that my mother, my two older brothers and I was able to say goodbye to her on the phone not too long ago because she knew she was passing from cancer. I appreciate her with all my heart and wish her harmony forever because the spirit lives for eternity. I am truly grateful to have been able to call her my Auntie Cora and that I knew her in this lifetime.

21 Ancient Egyptian Beauty Secret Used By Queen Cleopatra

Cleopatra’s reign dates back to 51 BC but she still has her impact on many because of the fact that she had a demanding beauty that you couldn’t miss. Her beauty secrets have been the talk for centuries and we can use many of them today because they are ultimately beneficial in many ways.
Lawrence Alma-Tadema, Painter

Rosewater face toner. Adding rose water to your skincare routine can give your skin a boost of hydration and it has anti-aging properties. I could only imagine that Cleopatra had flawless youthful skin that her people admired.
Aloe vera gel skincare remedy. Aloe vera gel can soothe your acne and cleanses away dead skin while leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth.
Sugar wax. Many women use sugar wax as an alternative for regular wax because it’s healthier and will prevent ingrown hairs.
Shea butter lotion. You can easily make a homemade body butter using olive oil, shea butter, or other to give your skin the hydration it needs. Apply this on after a bubble bath and it’ll lock in the moisture.
Kohl as eyeliner. She may have been the Queen of the cat eye because Egyptian makeup took things to a whole new level in her time.
Grape and honey face mask. Crush grapes, add some honey and apply it onto your skin to create the best face mask. Grapes naturally revitalizes the skin and is used as an anti-aging remedy.
She adorned herself with fragrances. Who doesn’t love to smell lovely? Cleopatra’s favorite scents were roses and jasmine which means she smelled as beautiful as a garden.
Donkey milk and honey bath. You might have already heard of this ancient beauty secret because I feel like everyone is obsessed with talking about Cleopatra taking a milk and honey bath. Add three cups of milk, five tablespoons of olive oil and one half of honey into your bathwater. You can throw a few rose petals in there if you want to make it into a royal treatment.
Gold face mask. Well, you know… If you have so much gold in your royal kingdom, why not make it into a face mask? Or if you’re like me, you need something a little more affordable like my Anew Ultimate Gold Peel-Off Mask here.
Red lipstick. She used to crush beetles to create red lipstick... so I heard.
Mint and honey face mask. Can get rid of blackheads while leaving your skin feeling hydrated and youthful.
Sea salt body and face scrub. Cleopatra used this beauty treatment to unclog pores, cleanse away dead skin and to soften her skin.
Apple cider vinegar face rinse. She used this to prevent acne and for radiant skin.
She used ginger as a skincare treatment. You can use ginger to prevent acne and to fight any signs of aging.
Henna nail polish. I’ve read that she used henna to dye her nails, yellow, brown, red, and orange.
White clay mask. Give your pores a deep cleanse with white clay and watch how beautiful your skin becomes.
Raw eggs have many vitamins that can heal damaged hair.
Hot oil treatment can hydrate dry hair instantly. All you need to do is warm several of your favorite oils and massage it through your scalp and hair.
Beeswax can prevent dry skin without clogging up your pores.
Olive oil and honey facial can give your skin a boost of hydration while preventing blackheads.
Oatmeal face mask. Appling oats as a facial can remove dead skin, cleanse and hydrate your skin. Yes, that's a picture me which I took a few years ago wearing an oatmeal mask and I loved it.
